# AI Referral Traffic

> Understand visits attributed to AI platforms and how traffic relates to AI visibility.

**AI referral traffic** is website traffic attributed to visits from AI platforms in your connected analytics data.

## How to read the metrics

* **AI-Referred Sessions** shows attributed visits during the selected period.
* **AI Share of Traffic** shows how much of all measured website traffic came from AI platforms.
* **AI Platforms Seen** shows which AI platforms sent at least one attributed visit.
* **Top AI Landing Pages** shows where those visitors entered your site.
* **AI Visibility vs Traffic** compares measured visibility with attributed visits.

## Why it matters for AEO

Visibility creates the opportunity to be discovered. Referral traffic shows when that opportunity led to a measurable website visit.
