# Invite Your Team and Manage Access in Mentioned

> Invite colleagues to Mentioned, choose which projects each person can open, and manage the people in your Team.

Your Mentioned account is a **Team**. A Team has one **Owner** and can have **Members**. Each person signs in with their own login. All of the people in a Team use the same credit allowance.

## Owners and Members

* **Owner.** The Owner can open every project in the Team. Only the Owner can manage billing, the organisation and the people in the Team.
* **Member.** A Member can open the projects that the Owner gives them access to. In those projects, a Member can change prompts, competitors, project settings and Google connections.

A Member can delete only the projects that they created. A Member does not see the **Billing**, **Organisation** and **Team** tabs in **Settings**.

## Seats

Each person in your Team uses one seat. The Owner also uses one seat. An invite that nobody has accepted uses a seat until it expires or you cancel it.

| Plan | Seats |
| - | - |
| **Base** | 2 |
| **Professional** | 10 |
| **Scale** | 25 |

Your free trial uses the Base plan, so it gives you 2 seats. A Custom plan has the number of seats that you agree with Mentioned.

You cannot buy extra seats. To add more people than your plan allows, change to a larger plan. See [Your free trial and plan](https://docs.mentioned.com.au/setup/trial-and-plans.md).

## Invite a person

Only the Owner can invite people.

**1. Open the Team settings**

Open **Settings** and select the **Team** tab.

**2. Start the invite**

Select **Invite Member**.

**3. Enter the email address**

Type the email address of the person that you want to invite.

**4. Choose the project access**

Select **All Projects** or **Selected Projects**. For **Selected Projects**, select each project that the person can open.

**5. Choose the project creation limit**

Select **Off**, **Up to** and a number, or **No limit**.

**6. Send the invite**

Select **Send invite**. Mentioned sends an email with a link to the person.

The link expires after 7 days. The person can use the link one time only. If the email does not arrive, select **Resend** in the **Pending invites** list.

### Project access

* **All Projects.** The person can open every project in the Team. This includes projects that you add later.
* **Selected Projects.** The person can open only the projects that you select. Mentioned does not add new projects to this list.

A Member can always open the projects that they create.

### Project creation

* **Off.** The person cannot create projects.
* **Up to.** The person can create projects up to the number that you set. A project that the person deletes does not count.
* **No limit.** The person can create projects until your plan limit stops them.

Projects that a Member creates count toward the project limit of your plan. The plan limit always applies, even if the Member has slots left.

## Accept an invite

These steps are for the person who receives the invite.

**1. Open the invite link**

Select the link in the invite email.

**2. Sign in or create an account**

If you have a Mentioned account, select **Sign in to accept**. If not, enter your name and a password.

**3. Join the Team**

Select **Join** and the Team name. Mentioned then opens your dashboard.

A person can belong to one Team only. If you are already in a Team, leave that Team before you accept a new invite.

## Manage pending invites

The **Pending invites** list on the **Team** tab shows the invites that nobody has accepted.

* **Resend.** Mentioned sends a new link and the old link stops working. The new link expires after 7 days.
* **Cancel.** The link stops working and the seat is free again.

## Change the access of a Member

**1. Find the Member**

Open the **Team** tab and find the Member in the **Members** list.

**2. Change the access**

Select **Edit access**, change the project access or the project creation limit, then select **Save**.

## Remove a Member

Select **Remove** next to the Member. The Member loses access to the Team immediately. They keep their login.

Before you confirm, you can choose two more actions:

* **Disconnect their Google connections.** Mentioned stops reading Google data through connections that this person made. You can connect your own account later.
* **Revoke their share links.** The share links that this person made stop working immediately.

The projects that the Member created stay in the Team.

## Make another Member the Owner

A Team has one Owner. To give the Team to another person, select **Make Owner** next to that Member, then confirm.

After the change:

* The new Owner manages the Team, its billing and its Members.
* You become a Member with access to all projects.
* You cannot delete the projects that are in the Team at that time.
* The new Owner sees a message that asks them to check the payment card on file.

## Leave a Team

A Member can leave a Team at any time. Open **Settings**, select the **Profile** tab, then select **Leave Team**.

The Owner cannot leave the Team. To leave, first make another Member the Owner.

When you leave a Team, or when the Owner removes you, you keep your login. The next time that you sign in, you can start a new Team or accept a new invite.

> [!NOTE]
>
> All of the people in a Team use one credit allowance. A prompt that a Member adds uses credits from the same allowance as the prompts of the Owner. See [Cadence and credits](https://docs.mentioned.com.au/setup/cadence-and-credits.md).
